Terms and conditions
All cancellations are subject to a €20 processing fee. Registration and gala name changes will be subject to a €20 processing fee.
Each participant can update their registration details on Lyyti via the link included in the confirmation message.
In case of cancellation by 31.3.2022, 100% of the fees will be refunded.
If cancelled between 1 April and 31 July 2022, 50% of the fees will be refunded.
If cancelled on or after 1 August 2022, no refund will be given.
Kuopio tips
Market and Market hall
Kuopio’s market is one of the most famous and lively in Finland, and it’s only half a kilometer from the HQ Hotel, so it’s easy to visit this attraction. Kuopio City Hall stands on one side of the market, and on the other side is the equally famous Kuopio Market Hall. You’ll find fresh baked goods, tapas, cheese, other delicacies, books, handicrafts and much more! Here you can find a nice souvenir to take home!
Puijo
Puijo is the favourite attraction for many locals, and no wonder. The scenery from the Puijo tower is breathtaking, so if the weather is clear on the convention weekend, you should definitely plan a visit to Puijo into your schedule. There’s a café and restaurant on the tower, and Puijon maja on the top of the hill serves a delicious picnic breakfast from 9am to 12pm on weekends.
Harbour, Väinölänniemi and Kuopionlahti
Kuopio is close to everything, and the beautiful Kuopio harbour is just half a kilometre from HQ Hotel. If you want to take a morning walk or take the scenic route to the Music Centre on Saturday, head for the harbour, from where you can continue along the beach to Väinölänniemi, and the route will eventually take you to Kuopionlahti, where the Music Centre is located. Along the way you can admire the Kallavesi scenery, spot good restaurants for your future trips to Kuopio, admire the old Väinölänniemi stadium and the peaceful parkland of Kuopionlahti.
Saaristokatu and Bellanranta
Kuopio’s Saaristokatu is one of the most beautiful streets in Finland, and no wonder – it runs through the water. If you want to admire this feat of engineering, grab an electric Vilkku-fillari or hop on bus 5 or 6 from the market square. Along the way you’ll also find Bellanranta, where you’ll find a couple of local breweries, the Lignell&Piispanen alcohol factory, a karting track, Saana with a restaurant and spa, and much more.

Kuopio museums and the Cathedral Church of Kuopio
Kuopio has many interesting museums, including our pride and joy, the Kuopio Museum, which just opened after a major renovation! The Kuopio Museum is located right next to the HQ Hotel, directly on the other side of Snellman’s Park. A couple of blocks from here towards the market square is the Kuopio Art Museum, located right next to the Cathedral Church. A couple of blocks south of the church is the VB Photography Center, and a block further on is the Old Kuopio Museum. At the same time, you can admire Kuopio’s old wooden buildings, which fortunately we still have.
